Hi friend!
It's been a busy summer for us here at Vermont Suitcase Company. You can read all about it below, but here's the most important stuff:

Monadnock International Film Festival will be the second festival screening for New Clothes! If you're near Keene, NH in early October, please check it out. A couple of us will be there to represent the crew, and we're excited to meet some other filmmakers and festival-goers. Find tickets for the event here. |

Company member Jonny Flood's original murder mystery comedy, The Duke Is Dead, had audiences laughing all over Vermont this summer. We completed our sixth summer tour with record audience numbers. Thank you for coming and watching us! It was a new genre for us, and it's made us excited to experiment more. |

Vermont Film Festival gave New Clothes two awards |

Back at the beginning of August, New Clothes screened at its first film festival, the Vermont Film Festival in Woodstock. Dory and Wyndham represented the group and made friends with a lot of filmmakers from Vermont and beyond. The festival weekend culminated in an awards ceremony, and we were honored to receive two awards: Best Narrative Feature and Best Emerging Filmmaker. VFF has only been around for a couple years, but they work hard to put on a great festival. Check them out next year if you have a chance! |

Getting ready for King Wenceslas |

December's not too far off, and it's time to start planning for our winter production. As you may know, our winter show usually utilizes four actors and one curtain, so it's a little more compact than our summer tour. This will be our third annual tour of Rosa Palmeri's adaptation of King Wenceslas. Each year has the same general story and most of the same characters, but Rosa always adds a bit of new material. Would you like to have us come perform at your venue? Get in touch with us at booking@vermontsuitcasecompany.com if you'd like to learn more! |

Vermont tour of New Clothes |
|
|
We've received a fair bit of interest in bringing New Clothes to towns around Vermont, screening it in granges and local venues. We're currently looking to start doing this in January and continuing throughout the year. This won't be a date-limited tour like our summer and winter shows, we'll just look around for venues and schedule whenever makes sense for everyone. Please let us know at booking@vermontsuitcasecompany.com if you want to bring New Clothes to your town or venue. |

Our audiences are why we do this, and we're so grateful to you for supporting us and the work we do. See you soon!
Love,
the Vermont Suitcase Company
